JOB SUMMARY: The Clinic Midwife provides obstetrical and women’s health care to the patients of our clinic. The Clinic Midwife reports directly to Clinic Manager. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: RN graduate of accredited school of Nursing must have completed an accredited program for Nurse Midwives. Licensure/Certification: CNM licensure Work Experience: None RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES: Clinic Midwife provides obstetrical care to low risk patients. 2. Clinic Midwife provides women’s health services to patients. 3. Clinic Midwife rotates on call schedule with other midwifes and takes first call when on call for physicians. 4. Documentation in a timely fashion into patient charts. 5. Triage phone calls from the nurses regarding patient phone calls. 6. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: Provide Obstetric and Gynecologic services in an outpatient and hospital setting. Monday – Friday outpatient practice hours. Rounding on admitted patients on LDRP at the hospital and seeing patients in the practice, and providing physician and/or labor coverage throughout the day depending on need.
