
Assistant Director of Nursing
Are you an experienced RN ready to take the next step in nursing leadership? We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Infection Preventionist to join our nursing leadership team.
This position works closely with the Director of Nursing to support day-to-day nursing operations, provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, and help ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
The role also serves as the facility's designated Infection Preventionist, overseeing infection surveillance, prevention practices, staff education, and infection control activities.
What you'll do:
Support the Director of Nursing with daily clinical operations and nursing oversight.
Provide guidance, education, and support to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nursing leadership.
Assist with clinical audits, resident concerns, incident follow-up, documentation, and quality improvement.
Monitor infection trends and oversee infection surveillance and reporting.
Lead infection prevention education and monitor practices such as hand hygiene, PPE use, and transmission-based precautions.
Coordinate response and follow-up for communicable illnesses and potential outbreaks.
Participate in QAPI, survey readiness, regulatory compliance, and other nursing quality initiatives.
Serve as a clinical resource and nursing leader throughout the facility.
What we're looking for:
Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or a similar healthcare setting preferred.
Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Infection prevention experience is preferred
