As the designated CSN, you’ll ensure the highest quality of care for elementary, middle, or high school students, promoting healthy lifestyles and providing vital interventions. Your ability to collaborate and communicate with students, families, and staff will contribute to a positive and safe school environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current Certified School Nurse (CSN) certification
  • Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting is highly valued
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
  • Compassionate approach and enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver general nursing care, including first aid, chronic condition management, and medication administration
  • Maintain accurate health records in compliance with school policies and state regulations
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and teaching staff
  • Provide health education and resources, supporting wellness initiatives
  • Serve as an advocate for student health, collaborating on individualized care plans as needed
