We are seeking an Occupational Health Medical Assistant to join our Industrial Medicine team. This position supports employee and occupational health services, including health screenings, immunizations, testing, occupational injuries, employee health records, and regulatory compliance. The role also provides occupational health services to outside employers and contracted organizations.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with pre-employment and employee health screenings and assessments.
  • Obtain and document health histories, vital signs, immunization records, and other required information.
  • Assist with immunizations, TB screening, vision and hearing testing, respirator fit testing, and other occupational health programs.
  • Assist with work-related injuries, illnesses, Workers' Compensation documentation, and return-to-work requirements.
  • Assist with employee exposure incidents and required follow-up.
  • Perform or assist with drug testing, DOT-related testing, physicals, and employer-specific occupational health services.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and tracking systems.
  • Assist nurses and providers with examinations, treatments, procedures, and point-of-care testing.
  • Provide professional and responsive customer service to employees, patients, leaders, and outside employers.
  • Support applicable regulatory and hospital compliance requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification required.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • Experience in employee health, occupational health, ambulatory care, urgent care, or healthcare preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and confidentiality skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
