Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Staff Development Coordinator/ Infection Preventionist to join our team! As a key member of our infection prevention and staff development team, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of quality, safety, and infection prevention throughout our organization. You will work closely with our nursing staff, providers, and leadership to develop and implement effective infection prevention strategies and staff development programs to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

RN Staff Development Coordinator/ Infection Preventionist Responsibilities:

Coordinate and implement infection prevention and control programs to prevent transmission of infectious diseases
Develop and conduct staff education and training programs
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
Collaborate with nursing staff, providers, and leadership to identify and address concerns and opportunities for improvement
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes

RN Staff Development Coordinator/ Infection Preventionist Requirements:

Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
Infection Preventionist certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
Supervisory experience in a long term care setting
Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, as well as nursing principles and practices
Excellent communication, education, and interpersonal skills
