Position Highlights:
- Position: Clinical Nurse Supervisor
- Location: Grand Valley Oncology
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the management of the department which involves input in performance evaluations, interviewing, hiring, counseling and employees.
- Management of Timecards, Schedules, and Attendance for all clinical staff.
- Supports and facilitates operational alignment with organization goals and strategies under the supervision of the Oncology Nursing Director/department leadership.
- Responsible for the coordination of quality improvement initiatives, National Patient Safety Goals auditing & reporting.
- Coordinates staff education and development in coordination with the Oncology Nursing Educator. This may include conducting education in-services, staff development programs and orientations.
- May function as a preceptor to new clinical staff members.
- Responsible for scheduling all department staff: RNs, MAs, LPN’s and other Support Services.
- Investigates incident reports on patient care, safety, and counsel’s staff accordingly.
- Responsible for ensuring patient satisfaction surveys are reviewed and addressed accordingly.
- Assisting Infusion Charge nurse with add-on infusion patients and active schedule management.
- Assisting with Oncology related direct admissions to inpatient units at Community Hospital.
- Serves as a resource to external contact and hospital staff in coordinating the repair and replacement of instruments and equipment.
- Maintains inventory in the clinical area of all specialized items and ensures items are available at all times.
- Maintains a safe and therapeutic patient care environment.
- Performs professional staff nursing functions, on a routine basis, to maintain clinical expertise to support departmental operations. A minimum of 2 clinical nurse shifts per month is required but may be greater based upon the needs of the department.
- May be required to take weekend/night/holiday administrative call on a regular scheduled basis as mutually determined with Oncology leadership team.

- Demonstrated ability to function calmly and competently in high stress situations.
- Ability to balance clinical and management responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required with at least five (5) years of nursing experience and one (1) Nursing Leadership experience;
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification required;
- Current Unrestricted Nurse License – required upon hire
- Current BLS – required upon hire
- Oncology Nurse Society Chemo-Bio Certification – required within 9 months
Compensation:
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $43.00 – $49.45 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Additional compensation may be available in the form of discretionary incentive or other compensation programs. Any such additional compensation is not guaranteed and is determined at the sole discretion of the organization based on applicable program terms, individual and/or organizational performance, and other eligibility requirements.

- Relocation: Must relocate to Grand Junction, CO 81505 before starting work.
