Children's Mercy Fetal Health

 

The Special Care Delivery service at Children's Mercy is how we deliver many babies we have been following in the Fetal Health Center. More than 1,850 babies have been born here since the program started in 2011.

 

 

Utilizes nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide comprehensive, age appropriate nursing care for perinatal patients. Assists with the shift supervision of nonprofessional personnel as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate plan of care for the perinatal patient and family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.
  • Meets the educational and informational needs of the perinatal patient and family, utilizing appropriate principles of teaching/learning. 
  • Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care to perinatal patients. 
  • Participates in performance improvement and professional development activities. 

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required and 1-2 years experience
  • At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
  • One of the following:
    • Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
    • Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
  • RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $34.85/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
