Job Overview

Fairview is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Behavioral Health team at the Fairivew Riverside Hospital Campus in Minneapolis, MN. This role provides comprehensive, patient-centered care are for patients on general adult inpatient mental health units, as well as speciality units including young adult, geriatric and detox.

Practice Details:

1.0 FTE (full-time) position (clinic schedule is Monday through Friday)
Shared weekend call rotation with approximately 10–11 weekends per year, including rounding responsibilities
Shared weeknight pager call rotation approximately every other week from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
No overnight call responsibilities (10:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.)
Join a team of 7 Psychiatrists and 6 PMHNPs
Average daily census is 8-10 beds
Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)

Responsibilities:

Perform patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams
Diagnose conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate
Provide preventive, acute, and chronic care
Make referrals to specialists as needed
Perform procedures within scope of practice
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
Participate in team-based care and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited APRN program
Current Minnesota licensure (APRN)
National certification (CNP or CNS)
Eligible for credentialing and privileging
Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
