We're seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) with a passion for pediatric care to provide 1:1 support for a student throughout the 2026/27 school year. This is a full-time, contract role serving a school community near Paterson, NJ. Begin as soon as possible and play a crucial part in ensuring student well-being during the school day—and beyond.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN or LPN/LVN license required in New Jersey
  • Proven experience in pediatric nursing (minimum one year), preferably in school or similar settings
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and understanding of childhood medical needs
  • Ability to provide safe, compassionate care in a dynamic school environment
  • Flexible and collaborative approach, ready to adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, families, and school staff
  • Recent graduates are not eligible for this position

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 nursing care and supervision to a student throughout the school day
  • Accompany and monitor the student while riding the school bus to and from school
  • Administer medication, monitor health conditions, and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and communicate with families and school personnel
  • Support student participation in educational activities and promote a healthy, inclusive learning environment
  • Ensure care plans are followed and updated as required
