What You'll Do

Assess Patients: Conduct comprehensive assessments, analyze clinical data, identify care needs, and anticipate changes in patient condition. Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to create and adjust individualized plans of care based on patient goals and needs. Provide Nursing Care: Implement care plans, administer medications, perform nursing procedures, educate patients and families, and respond effectively to emergencies. Evaluate Outcomes: Monitor patient progress, assess responses to interventions, and modify care plans to achieve desired outcomes. Communicate Effectively: Utilize SBARQ and other communication tools to ensure safe handoffs, interdisciplinary collaboration, and accurate documentation. Delegate Responsibly: Assign tasks appropriately while maintaining accountability for patient safety and quality outcomes. Promote Professional Practice: Adhere to nursing standards, evidence-based practice, regulatory requirements, and pursue ongoing professional development. Support Team Success: Foster collaboration, mentor colleagues, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to a positive team environment.
What We're Looking For

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present. Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions. Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines. Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed. May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
