MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants: Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a provider in a family medicine, emergency medicine, peds, or urgent care setting.
Experience in treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (required)
Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), Preliminary reads on EKGs, and X-rays (required)
Physician Assistants: Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification is required
Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree and appropriate certification required (AANC or AANP)

Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs an expanded perioperative role as a first assistant to surgeons during surgical procedures in the operating room. RNFA works alongside the surgeon to provide direct patient care. Works as a professional colleague with the perioperative team and collaborates with the patient-designated support person, and other health care providers when making decision to plan care. Complete the didactic portion of the RNFA class, and 120 supervised clinical hours. Enters a collaborative practice agreement with physician.
