Soliant is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide essential nursing support for a school district near Santa Maria, CA during the 2026–2027 school year.

This opportunity is ideal for an LVN who is comfortable working in a school-based environment and providing consistent nursing support as part of the district's LVN Pool.

Assignment Details

  • Position: School-Based LVN
  • Location: Santa Maria, CA
  • Schedule: Full-Time
  • Hours: 32.5 hours per week during the regular school year
  • Daily Hours: 6.5 hours per day
  • Dates: 10/09/2026 – 08/06/2027
  • Setting: Onsite, school-based
  • ESY: ESY is not mandatory or guaranteed. Staff interested in ESY must sign up for available hours to be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing support to students throughout the school day.
  • Support student health and safety needs across the district as assigned.
  • Monitor students and respond appropriately to health-related needs.
  • Follow individualized healthcare plans, physician orders, and school health protocols.
  • Maintain accurate nursing and health documentation.
  • Communicate with school staff and healthcare teams regarding student health needs.
  • Respond appropriately to medical concerns and emergencies.
  • Provide consistent, professional care while supporting a safe and positive school environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Active California LVN License.
  • Ability to work onsite in Santa Maria, CA.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a school-based nursing team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous school-based nursing experience.
  • Pediatric nursing experience.
  • Experience working with students with complex healthcare needs.
  • Familiarity with individualized healthcare plans and school nursing procedures.
