School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Loganville, Georgia

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
  • Demonstrated ability to administer medications, manage student health plans, and respond to emergencies
  • Effective communication skills to engage with students, families, and faculty
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Basic computer proficiency for maintaining health records

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, basic first aid, and emergency response
  • Monitor student health status and manage chronic conditions under physician and district guidelines
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support student health needs and participate in IEP/504 meetings as needed
  • Offer health education and guidance to students and school staff, promoting healthy habits within the school community
  • Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student health concerns, care provided, and next steps when issues arise
