School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Evans, Georgia

Key Requirements:

  • Current, active Georgia RN license (unrestricted)
  • Up-to-date CPR/BLS certification
  • Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
  • Background in supporting students with medically fragile, complex, or critical health needs
  • Skills in G-tube feedings and trach care; experience with suctioning and seizure/epilepsy management strongly preferred
  • Commitment to full-time, on-site hours (8:10 AM 4:10 PM) for the full assignment duration
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and staff

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver day-to-day nursing care to a caseload of approximately 510 students
  • Provide direct health services: G-tube feedings, care for trach-dependent students, suctioning, seizure and epilepsy monitoring, medication administration, and specialized treatments tailored to student needs
  • Closely monitor students health status throughout the school day, responding promptly to urgent medical situations
  • Communicate effectively with educators, families, and healthcare providers to ensure coordination of care and support student safety
  • Maintain accurate health records and comply with all relevant protocols and documentation requirements
  • Contribute as a collaborative member of the student support team
