Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and patient care coordination

  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

  • Foster a culture of excellence, promoting professionalism, teamwork, and open communication among staff members

  • Evaluate and improve nursing care practices, ensuring high-quality services and patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in nursing administration, preferably in a long-term care setting

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards

Determine immediate needs and initial assessment, share findings with the RN-Case Manager and collaborate care with the IDT. Provide visits to assess ongoing patients’ needs, revise care plans as needed and communicate patient assessments to the team, when not doing admissions. Provide clinical services to patients and families that address goals of the care plan. Prepare clinical and progress notes; maintain clinical records; coordinate services and inform physician and other personnel of changes in patient condition and needs.
