Job Title: PRN Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Omaha, NE

Department: Nursing 

Reports to: DON/Charge Nurse 

Position Type: PRN must work a minimum of 1 shift per week

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN CNA to join our skilled nursing facility team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position offers flexibility with scheduling and is ideal for those looking to work on an as-needed basis.  Must have CNA license.

Work Environment: 

This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. 

  • Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely. 

  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates. 

  • Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records. 

  • Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner. 

  • Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life. 

  • Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents. 

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care. 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care. 

  • Certifications: Current CNA certification in Nebraska required.

  • Flexibility: To work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
