Position Summary

Aspire Senior Living is seeking an experienced Regional Nurse Consultant (RN) to provide clinical leadership, oversight, and support to assigned skilled nursing communities.

This Regional Nurse Consultant (RN) position partners closely with Administrators, Directors of Nursing (DONs), clinical leadership, and Operations to strengthen nursing practices, improve clinical outcomes, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote consistent standards of care across our communities.

The Regional Nurse Consultant (RN) will maintain a regular presence within assigned communities and provide hands-on leadership when clinical, staffing, operational, or regulatory needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to Directors of Nursing and facility clinical teams.

  • Monitor nursing practices, documentation, clinical systems, and resident-care processes.

  • Identify clinical risks and trends and partner with leadership to develop corrective action plans.

  • Support communities with complex resident-care concerns and high-risk clinical situations.

  • Promote ongoing survey readiness and compliance with federal, state, CMS, and company requirements.

  • Conduct clinical audits, mock surveys, and compliance reviews.

  • Assist with survey deficiencies, Plans of Correction, investigations, and corrective-action initiatives.

  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and monitor key clinical performance indicators.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop DONs, ADONs, and other clinical leaders.

  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of newly hired or promoted nursing leaders.

  • Partner with Operations, Administrators, and Human Resources on clinical, staffing, leadership, and operational priorities.

  • Provide enhanced clinical oversight during leadership transitions or periods of increased facility need.

  • Support nursing recruitment, retention, staffing, education, and clinical best practices.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in Missouri required

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care

  • Previous Director of Nursing (DON) or comparable nursing leadership experience strongly preferred

  • Multi-facility, regional, or clinical consulting experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, state regulations, survey processes, and long-term care clinical standards

  • Experience with survey preparation, Plans of Correction, QAPI, clinical auditing, and regulatory compliance preferred

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to assigned communities required

This position requires frequent travel to assigned Aspire Senior Living communities. The schedule may vary based on facility needs, surveys, investigations, emergencies, and other operational priorities. Occasional evening, weekend, after-hours, and overnight travel may be required.
