We have an exciting opportunity available at the Bedford Pediatric Outpatient Clinic for a compassionate and independent RN who thrives in a fast-paced, clinically diverse environment and enjoys educating patients and families. This role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with pediatric patients while utilizing critical thinking and assessment skills in an outpatient setting. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and most holidays, excluding Christmas and Thanksgiving. New team members will complete a six-week training period working two days per week. Following training, nurses are expected to work one weekend shift per month and one holiday per year. Flexibility and teamwork are essential, as team members are also expected to assist with same-day and future shift coverage when needed. Qualifications:

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
