Short Description

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

Overview

The Cooper Voorhees Surgery Center (VSC) is a hospital-run outpatient surgical center that follows the same clinical standards as Cooper’s main surgical facilities in Camden. As a non-24/7 center, all patients return home after their procedures, with any complications routed to Cooper in Camden or the nearest appropriate facility. VSC manages its own pre-admission screening and guides patients through registration, pre-op preparation, anesthesia and surgical care, and recovery in PACU before discharge. This streamlined, patient-focused environment supports high-quality same-day surgical care. 


Experience Required

  • Requires 2 Years Acute Care Experience (Med Surg, ICU, ER, etc.); Pre Admission Testing Experience Preferred

Education Requirements

  • Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing

License/Certification Requirements

  • Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
  • Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)

As a hospice Registered Nurse Case manager, you will perform ongoing patient assessments, maintaining thorough and diligent notes and records regarding the effectiveness of each patient's care plan.
