Responsibilities

Responsible for the quality and resource management of all patients that are admitted to the facility from the point of their admission and across the continuum of the health care management.  Works on behalf of the advocate, promoting cost containment and demonstrates leadership to integrate the health care providers to achieve a perceived seamless delivery of care.  The methodology is designed to facilitate and ensure the achievement of quality, clinical and cost-effective outcomes and to perform a holistic and comprehensive admission and concurrent review of the medical record for the medical necessity, intensity of service and severity of illness. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years' work experience post-graduation of an accredited school of nursing and a current state Registered Nurse license2. At least one year experience in case management, discharge planning or nursing management3. Experience and knowledge in basic to intermediate computer skills.Preferred Qualifications:

4. Five years of acute care nursing experience.  preferred5. CCM or obtained within 1year6. Knowledge of Milliman Criteria and InterQual Criteria preferred.7. Current BCLS certificate, preferred

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.

Registered Nurse for IR and PICC (Full-time, Day shift)

What You'll Be Doing Closely monitors the patient for complications, administers medications including moderate sedation, documents the procedure, and assist with procedures. IR+PICC nurses also play an important role in communication and patient education both pre and post procedure. The successful candidate will be able to: Administering moderate sedation to patients during the procedures Monitoring patients’ vital signs during the procedure and reporting any changes to the physician or other staff members Preparing patients for procedures by explaining the procedure to them, preparing them for procedure, and setting up any equipment that is needed Preparing and arranging equipment for cases such as CT scans, ensuring that all equipment is working properly before and after each procedure Preparing patients for diagnostic imaging studies such as MRI scans and CT scans by helping them position and IV insertions Preparing patients for interventional procedures such as biopsies and drainages Perform comfort and safety measures with patients in the radiology department Respond to emergencies The interventional radiology nurse will be responsible for patient care throughout minimally invasive, image-guided procedures from the moment a patient is admitted into the radiology department to the time when that patient is discharged to a post-operative recovery area. What You'll Be Doing The Registered Nurse (RN) Provides professional nursing cae within the Emergency Department to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provies direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. The ability to triage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the ED. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the department. Communicate with the physicians about changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Summary of Position : The Hudson Regional Hospital Operating Room Nurse Coordinator maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement. The OR Nurse Coordinator actualizes the vision, mission, values and balanced scorecard performance measures for Hudson Regional Hospital. The OR Nurse Coordinator participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The RN demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served. Responsible for the provision of nursing care to patients undergoing a surgical intervention. Demonstrates leadership in management systems, clinical practice, quality assurance and staff development in accordance with overall philosophy and goals of the Operating Room EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: New Jersey State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New Jersey State as an R.N. BLS required. CNOR Certification preferred in specialty or efforts to achieve certification. AORN Membership preferred. BSN degree preferred and at least 2-5 years clinical experience in the specialty or related service; or combination of education and experience acceptable to the Director of Nursing or designee.
