The primary need is for coverage every other Sunday, with an additional one weekday per week. Candidates should also be available to assist with PRN holiday and vacation coverage as needed.

 

Clarion Psychiatric Center in western Pennsylvania is seeking a board certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for inpatient services. The new associate will join an experienced multi-disciplinary team of Psychiatrists, PMHNPs, Nurses, Therapists and Administration to better meet the needs of the Behavioral Health needs in the region. The region is located just north of Pittsburgh nestled in an ideal environment to raise a family with good school systems, affordable housing and a close knit community.  The area offers great outdoor activities such as state parks, championship golf courses and lakes for boating.  City activities are less than a two-hour drive away to Pittsburgh.

Clarion Psychiatric Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide PRN medical coverage within our inpatient psychiatric hospital. This role is primarily focused on Sunday coverage and one weekday, with the opportunity to pick up additional PRN hours based on availability and interest.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice provider who values flexibility and is interested in supporting the medical care of psychiatric inpatients in a collaborative, team-based environment. The provider will work with patients ages 10 and older in partnership with psychiatry, nursing, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform admission histories and physicals as needed
  • Evaluate and manage routine and urgent medical concerns for psychiatric inpatients
  • Review laboratory and diagnostic results and place orders within scope of practice
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nursing staff, and facility leadership
  • Support continuity of care in a structured inpatient psychiatric setting

Qualifications

  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Active Pennsylvania license, or ability to obtain one
  • Experience working with psychiatric or behavioral health patients preferred
  • Inpatient experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Interest in Sunday coverage required; openness to additional PRN shifts preferred

Family Nurse Practitioner-PRN

Responsibilities Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.
