Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Cardiology

What You'll Do

The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care across the care continuum. This care will be provided in outpatient and inpatient hospital settings. Cardiology NP will hold independent clinics in outpatient setting under the guidance and collaboration with collaborating physicians.

Work with the Cardiology team to conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical exams. Collaborate with cardiologists and other medical providers to develop and coordinate treatment plans. Perform hospital rounds on cardiology consults and follow-up patients in collaboration with the cardiologist.

Participate in a rotating call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

Current Missouri Advanced Practice Nurse licensure as a Nurse Practitioner according to MO State Board of Nursing.

Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.

OR

Current Missouri Physician Assistant license.

Graduate of Physician assistant program accredited by the committee on Allied Health, education and accreditation of the American Medical Association.

Experience

Previous cardiology experience is preferred.

Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Dr. Ipsen (Orthopedic Spine)

Job Description Summary Performs tasks and procedures consistent with Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant's (PA) specialized knowledge, judgment, skill, training and education within the scope of his/her supervising physician. NP/PA will enter into and maintain a supervision agreement with a physician licensed to practice medicine in the State of Missouri. Under such agreement, the physician delegates to the NP/PA authority to deliver health care services and treatments, and to prescribe drugs, medications, devices or therapies which are specific to those clinical conditions treated by the supervising physician. Essential Functions: Creates patient problem list at first patient encounter and updates as appropriate at follow-up visits. Orders appropriate laboratory, radiologic and special examinations or tests according to clinical manifestations, preventative and/or health maintenance standards. Interprets and evaluates clinical data to determine appropriate diagnosis and need for therapeutic procedures or treatment. Consults with supervising physician or designee to provide health care services for conditions other than acute self-limited or well-defined problems. Establishes a plan of care/treatment and provides counseling and clear instructions to the patient regarding mental and physical health using jointly agreed upon procedures and protocols by PA and supervisory physician. Assists with or performs surgical procedures at the direction of the supervising physician; performs hospital rounds and documents patient progress notes as appropriate. Makes appropriate specialty referrals for patient treatment outside of scope of practice. Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Job Description: The Interventional Radiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) provides comprehensive care for patients undergoing diagnostic and image-guided procedures. The role supports procedural services, patient evaluation, and care coordination across inpatient and outpatient settings. This position serves as an integral member of the radiology team, working under the supervision and/or collaborative agreement of designated supervising radiologist(s) to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while supporting procedural workflow and departmental throughput. Responsibilities Perform history and physical examinations, consults, and pre-procedure evaluations. Review imaging, labs, and clinical data to determine procedural appropriateness. Perform and/or assist with image-guided procedures (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, lumbar punctures). Place and manage vascular access devices, including PICC lines and central venous catheters. Manage tube and drain procedures including exchanges and follow-up care. Provide post-procedure care, patient monitoring, and follow-up coordination. Assist in triaging and prioritizing interventional radiology procedures and workflow. Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, technologists, and referring providers. Educate patients and families regarding procedures, risks, and follow-up care. Inpatient Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Independent Status

Job Description Summary: The Advance Practice Nurse (APN) provides psychiatric care to patients. APN provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance abuse and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. APN demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. APN will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. Responsibilities: Interprets and evaluates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Administers, dispenses, and prescribes drugs and provides treatment within the APN’s scope of practice and consistent with the APN’s skills, training, and competence. May administer and dispense controlled substances on a case-by-case consistent with collaborative agreement with Center psychiatrist. Provides counseling and instruction regarding patient problems. Completes all clinical documentation in a timely fashion as prescribed in policy and procedure Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested. Maintains patient confidentiality. When seeing a patient with conditions which are beyond the education, training, competency or scope of practice of the APN, the APN will consult with or refer the patient to the collaborating Physician. All significantly abnormal lab and EKG results will be discussed with the Physician. Perform all other duties as assigned. Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Qualifications: The individual should have extensive knowledge of professional nursing theory and skills in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to providing ongoing patient care. APN should possess considerable knowledge in the development and maintenance of quality assurance. Must be skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. APN must possess the ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Preferred Qualifications: Education: The APN should be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and shall have successfully completed an approved PMHNP program. Training/Continual Education: Must maintain licensure. Licenses and Certifications: Must possess psychiatric certification or be in the process of achieving this certification.
