How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Provide compassionate, specialized care to medical-surgical patients, with a focus on oncology and bariatrics, by safely administering complex treatments, managing acute symptoms, and monitoring post-surgical or therapy recovery.
- Partner with patients and families to build individualized, evidence-based care plans, maintaining precise clinical documentation and proactively communicating changes in condition to the interdisciplinary care team.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, oncologists, surgeons, and support specialists to ensure seamless care coordination, thorough patient education, and safe transitions home or to post-acute care.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
