School Registered Nurse (RN) in Pflugerville, TX

Step into a rewarding role as an onsite school nurse, serving as a dedicated 1:1 RN for a student at an Adult Transition Services Camp. This contract opportunity begins ASAP and extends through May 21, 2027, where youll make a tangible difference in a supportive educational environment. As part of a dynamic campus near Austin, TX, youll deliver tailored health care and advocate for student wellness during school hours.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Texas RN certification/licensure
  • Proven experience in schools or pediatric care strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams and parents
  • Compassion and confidence working with neurodiverse populations or transition-age youth
  • Current CPR/BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one medical support and direct nursing care to a student with unique healthcare needs
  • Administer medications, monitor chronic conditions, and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Maintain accurate, confidential health records and documentation
  • Communicate care plans, updates, and concerns with all stakeholders
  • Participate in school functions to advocate for the students health and safety
  • Educate staff and peers on relevant healthcare protocols, as necessary

Website: www.meridell.com As an Infection Control Nurse / Clinical Nurse Educator at Meridell Achievement Center, you'll be part of a dynamic and compassionate treatment team dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and neurobehavioral challenges. Infection Control Nurse Responisibilities: To conduct ongoing surveillance of infections in patients and employees (in conjunction with HR), vaccination status of patients and employees, compile and interpret this data, and present it to the Safety Committee each month.
