School Registered Nurse (RN) in Middletown, DE

Exciting contract opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for school-based healthcare. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting is preferred
  • Strong understanding of health conditions common to school-age children
  • Proficient in managing individual healthcare plans, medication administration, and emergency response
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • CPR/BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health needs
  • Administer medications, treatments, and first aid as needed
  • Develop and implement individualized health plans in collaboration with educators and families
  • Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate medical records
  • Assist with immunization compliance and health education initiatives
  • Respond promptly to health emergencies and coordinate with local healthcare providers
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all relevant regulations and district policies
