Join our Behavioral Health team as a PRN Registered Nurse and make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients seeking mental health and addiction recovery support. This day shift opportunity, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with no weekends or holidays, provides support for PTO coverage as needed. In this outpatient setting, you will work alongside an interdisciplinary team that includes Medical Assistants, Therapists, Peer Recovery Coaches, and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, conducting triage, administering psychiatric and addiction-related injections, and assisting with medication prior authorizations. Behavioral Health experience is a plus!  

Qualifications:

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.

Ball Memorial’s Cardiac Progressive Care an 18-bed unit that specializes in cardiac patient population; HF; pre & post cardiac catheterization patients; pre & post CV surgery patients; arrhythmias; cardiac drips. On the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, we use a multidisciplinary team approach consisting of nurses, physicians, patient care assistants, case managers, and secretarial support staff.
