Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours; 7:00pm – 7:00am

NICU Department Highlights

Here’s What You Need

  • Diploma in Nursing required or
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
  • BSN preferred
  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
  • One year of NICU experience strongly preferred
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
  • NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and
  • NRPA – Advance Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training required within 90 days and maintained annually

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Title: PreOp/ PACU Registered Nurse (Full-Time) Essential Functions : Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in a same day surgery setting. Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician’s orders and centers policies. Monitors and controls use of and charging for supplies utilized in the center. Supervision Received : Supervisor of Clinical Services Education/ Experience : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Registered Nurse License Current American Heart Assn.
