Licensed Practical Nurse Part Time 1:1 School Nurse

Part-Time 1:1 LPN School Nurse Quitman, GA

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time, 1:1 school nursing position in Quitman, GA. The nurse will work directly with a 9-year-old female student who requires specialized medical care, including G-tube and tracheostomy support.

Schedule:

  • MondayFriday
  • 8:00 AM12:00 PM
  • 20 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 nursing care and monitor the student's medical needs throughout the school day.
  • Provide tracheostomy care and G-tube support.
  • Monitor airway safety and respond to the student's medical needs.
  • Assist with tube and trach changes alongside another nurse and paraprofessional staff.
  • Use appropriate behavioral support and redirection techniques during care, as the student may become aggressive or attempt to pull at her tracheostomy.
  • Collaborate with the school team to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia LPN license.
  • Experience with tracheostomies and G-tubes required.
  • Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred.
  • Comfortable providing specialized care to a student with complex medical needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the school nursing team and support staff.
