We at Torrance Post Acute, a community of caring professionals, are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at our Skilled Nursing Facility. As an LVN, you will provide direct nursing care to our residents under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and ensure that our facility meets all applicable regulations and standards.

Minimum of 1 year of LVN experience is required.

Job Summary:

As a full-time member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to our residents, including administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, and assessing and documenting changes in their condition. We have a full-time AM shift (7AM-3PM) position available, and at least 1 year of LVN SNF experience is required. Rate is $33-$38 an hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, and assessing and documenting changes in their condition
• Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans based on residents' needs and goals
• Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure that all documentation and charting is accurate, complete, and up-to-date
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
• Educate residents and families about their healthcare needs and treatments
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations governing nursing care in the facility

Qualifications:

• Valid and current LVN license in the state of California
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a skilled nursing facility, acute care setting, or in-patient rehabilitation or in-patient behavioral health setting
• Strong clinical skills, including assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
