Identifies potential disciplinary concerns performance, behavior, attendance punctuality, disciplines as appropriate and communicates follows up with Nurse Manager. Participates in the process of managing concerns of staff diversion and potential staff incapacity in the absence of departmental leadership. Holds staff accountable to quality, safe patient care through compliance with approved policies and procedures. Participates in staff and peer evaluations providing feedback and opportunities for improvement. Bed Flow Coordination: Plays key role in bed coordination and allocation during periods of surge alerts. Directs the nursing office-based bed coordinators. Communicates census and bed flow plans daily at huddle. Coordinates and communicates patient admissions to unit-based nurse facilitators and removes barriers to expedite flow and assure admission timeframe targets. Collaborates and assigns bed of transfers from other hospitals to LGH. Minimum Required Qualifications: Current licensure as Registered Professional Nurse, issued by the PA State Board of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN.
