Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the direction of the Registered Nurse, Manager Patient Care, or Administrative Supervisor. Carries
out routine patient care assignments on assigned shift; works and performs in controlled patient care situations and performs established nursing care procedures for individuals or groups of patients as delegated by Supervisory Personnel.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate from an Accredited school of nursing
  • Current Illinois LPN License
  • BLS

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ACLS
  • Emergency Department or EMT/Paramedic experience

What We Are Looking For: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and in accordance with federal, state, and facility standards. The LPN is responsible for administering medications, performing treatments, monitoring residents’ health status, and supporting the overall care plan to promote optimal health outcomes. What You Will Do: Resident Care Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, in accordance with facility policies and state regulations. Monitor residents’ health status, observe for changes in condition, and promptly report findings to the RN or physician. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
