This engaging contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse interested in a flexible, PRN schedule, providing coverage during teacher absences and facilitating hands-on clinical learning for high school students enrolled in Nurse Assisting courses.

Enjoy a balanced workday from 8-10 am and 12-2 pm, allowing ample personal time while still utilizing your clinical expertise and leadership skills. In this role, youll help shape the next generation of nurse aides by providing direct supervision, coordinating clinical activities, and evaluating learning experiences that pave the way for students future careers.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold current New York State RN licensure with recent long-term care or nursing home clinical experience
  • Eligible for, or already hold, the Civil Service title of School Nurse
  • Confident in managing and instructing small student groups (approx. 8:1 ratio)
  • Skilled collaboratorable to work effectively with classroom teachers, school administrators, and partnering agency staff
  • Strong communication and evaluation skills, particularly with high school aged students

What Youll Do:

  • Assist in developing and updating clinical curriculum and trainee schedules
  • Coordinate and supervise on-the-job clinical experiences for students
  • Maintain communication with classroom teachers and agency personnel
  • Conduct regular evaluations of students progress in the clinical setting
  • Support the Nurse Aide Teacher with a variety of related tasks as needed
