Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Join our team at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, a 513-bed skilled nursing facility atop Onondaga Hill in Syracuse, NY. We are committed to providing quality care and diversified services with a professional team of caregivers who focus on each resident as a whole person.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. As a CNA at Van Duyn, you will provide direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care. Every other weekend is required for this full and part-time position

Responsibilities:

• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Identify and report changes in resident condition to ensure timely interventions
• Participate in the pain management program and work with the interdisciplinary team to address resident needs
• Serve as a Resident Advocate and provide emotional support to residents and their families
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection prevention protocols
• Interact and engage with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care
• Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing resident needs

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant certification
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills
• New graduates welcome to apply
