Job Description

At MUSC Health, we believe exceptional cancer care begins with exceptional leadership. We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and forward-thinking Oncology Nurse Manager to lead our Infusion Services and Medical Oncology Clinic operations.

This is more than a management position — it's an opportunity to inspire a team of healthcare professionals, strengthen collaboration across oncology services, and help create a seamless, supportive experience for patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.

If you thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy developing others, and are passionate about delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care, we want YOU on our team!

Your Leadership. Their Hope. Our Mission.

As our Oncology Nurse Manager, you will provide clinical and operational leadership across infusion services and medical oncology clinic operations. You will oversee daily operations, support and mentor clinical staff, and partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive coordinated, compassionate, and exceptional care.

Working alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, patient navigators, and administrative professionals, you will play a vital role in connecting every step of the oncology care experience — from diagnosis and treatment planning through infusion therapy, follow-up, and survivorship.

What You'll Do

Lead, Inspire & Develop Your Team

  • Provide leadership and oversight of infusion and medical oncology clinic operations.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop clinical and administrative staff while fostering a positive, supportive, and accountable work environment.
  • Promote clinical excellence, professional development, staff competency, and employee engagement.
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, daily assignments, and resources to support safe and efficient patient care.

Champion Exceptional Patient Care

  • Promote safe, evidence-based administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion treatments.
  • Provide clinical oversight for patient triage, medication administration, education, care planning, and treatment coordination.
  • Support patient safety initiatives, quality improvement, and compliance with clinical standards.
  • Provide guidance and leadership during urgent patient-care situations.

Connect Care Across Oncology Services

  • Strengthen communication and collaboration between medical oncology clinics, infusion teams, providers, pharmacy, and patient navigation.
  • Coordinate patient flow, treatment readiness, scheduling, and clinical handoffs to create a seamless patient experience.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncology, surgery, supportive and palliative care, and survivorship services to promote continuity of care.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce barriers, and enhance the patient and family experience.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily clinic operations while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, service, and efficiency.
  • Support employee performance management, coaching, and staff development.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements that strengthen access, efficiency, and care coordination.
  • Apply sound fiscal and human resource management practices to support responsible stewardship of departmental resources.
