Zero-Tolerance Sleeping Policy All night-shift caregivers must remain fully awake, alert, attentive and prepared to assist the client throughout the entire shift. Sleeping, dozing, lying down to rest or closing your eyes for extended periods is strictly prohibited, even when the client is sleeping.
