Job Title: X-Ray Technician/MA Reports to: Center Manager Summary The X-Ray Technician/MA will be responsible for assisting in examination and treatment of patients under direction of the Physician. Major Responsibilities Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment. Hands instruments and materials to doctor as directed. Cleans and sterilizes instruments. Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials. Operates x-ray, electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests. Gives injections or treatments, and performs routine laboratory tests. Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications Current limited X-Ray permit issued by the California Department of Public Health (expanded scope is ideal- to include digital radiography, chest, extremities, and torso-skeletal) is required CPT I certification Experience performing EKGs, blood draws, vital signs and IM injections. Ability to work well under pressure and be quick on your feet Neat and professional appearance Effective written and verbal communication skills Vocational certificate in Medical Assistant Working Conditions Center-Based. Requires working in a clinical setting. The noise level is moderate and there is a potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens. The ability to stand and sit for hours at a time, (with some bending and stooping), ability to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Travel – up to 5%

Assist in scheduling and conducting patient visits while ensuring adherence to protocol timelines and clinic workflows. Maintain inventory and ensure availability of clinical supplies and equipment. Receive, organize, scan, and appropriately file clinical documentation within the EMR. Maintain communication with physicians, clinic leadership, research staff, and other members of the care team. Protect confidentiality per HIPAA and all confidentiality agreements. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment. Represent Flourish professionally in all interactions.
