Unusual Physical Demands And Working Conditions Full range of body motion including lifting and handling patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires correct vision and hearing to normal ranges. Occasionally lifts and carries up to 25 pounds. Requires working under stressful conditions and working irregular hours. Travel to out of town satellite clinics required as needed.

Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices. Ensure the examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies. May participate in supporting the clinic’s social media presence, including gathering content, sharing clinic-approved updates, and assisting with community engagement efforts as directed High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a clinical setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and practices relevant to dermatology. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff effectively. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and general office software.
