The PCA II maintains a current certification in patient care and is responsible to assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the RN as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Current Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.). 3. Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred. 4. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current 5. Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician, preferred. 6. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred. 7. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred. 8. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology. 9.
