Encore Parkside is looking for a dedicated Restorative Aide to support residents in maintaining and improving their functional abilities. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Performs restorative treatments under the direction of the Director of Nursing · Collaborates with nursing staff to ensure that residents are available for the restorative programs, when necessary, will assist the nursing staff with direct care. · Documents all restorative activity performed in EMR. Completes and maintains documentation according to Rehabilitation Restorative program guidelines and facility policy. · Reports and documents residents’ significant changes to assigned CNA, Nurse and Restorative Nurse. · Updates and maintain quarterly restorative progress notes for the restorative nurse and rehab nurse. · Consults with unit staff routinely to be aware of resident diagnosis, precautions, and contraindications to performance of various restorative treatments. · Recognizes and treats emergency situations in accordance with facility emergency policies. · Transports residents, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform treatment. · Follows established procedures and safety guidelines pertaining to the care and use of equipment and supplies Gets training on new equipment prior to usage. · Prepares, maintains, and cleans treatment areas in preparation for direct patient care. Reports any equipment that is need of repair to Director of Nursing. · Recognizes the importance of providing Resident Centered Care.
