Director of Nursing (DON) Job Summary In keeping with our organization's goal of improving the lives of the Residents we serve, the Director of Nursing (DON) plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and nursing services to all Residents in the facility. The Director of Nursing is responsible for the planning, development, and overall operation of the Nursing Department, ensuring Residents receive quality care 24 hours a day. WE VALUE YOU! Required Skills & Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing • Active RN License in the State of Pennsylvania • Minimum of 1 year professional nursing experience in long-term care setting • Minimum of 2 years experience working as a DON • Possess a working knowledge and ability to apply standards of professional nursing practice in job situations • Ability to develop nursing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, and facility philosophy of care • Knowledge of and ability to apply current principles of infection control to facility and resident-specific situations • Knowledge of MDS and Care Planning Process • Current knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that apply to practice of nursing in long-term care We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
