The position is located at our Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Centerin Fort Worth, TX. The hospital is a 538 licensed bed facility with cutting edge cardiovascular surgery, transplant surgery, women’s health services, and excellent medical subspecialty support. The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) practices in collaboration with a licensed physician pursuant to a collaborative practice agreement. The advanced practice provider will be responsible for clinical management for an assigned patient population. Furthermore, the certified nurse midwife will enhance the quality of care through education and advanced nursing knowledge and practice through research;collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team; and act as liaison between the nursing care and medical teams. There is collaboration with our affiliated, in-house neonatologists and NNPs in a 63-bed, level III NICU. Additionally, our Pediatrix Medical Group maternal-fetal medicine specialists are available for high-risk pregnancies. Job Duties: • Clinical management of assigned patients • Order/perform therapeutic/diagnostic studies/procedures as assigned • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate patient care Qualifications * Must have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing • Education and experience in accordance with local, state and federal requirements. • Current licensure RN and APRN (CNM) in the state of practice. • National Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife, APRN. • Current NRP, CPR, PALS, BLS, and/or ALS certification as required by specialty, practice, and/or healthcare facility. Location: Abilene Maternal Fetal Medicine Department: Maternal Fetal Medicine Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: Cook Children's is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (AAP) to join our clinic in Abilene, Texas. The Maternal Fetal Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (APP), which may include Nurse Practitioners (NP’s), Physician Assistants (PA’s), or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) functions in a collaborative practice to deliver specialized care to high-risk obstetric patients under the direction and supervision of MFM physicians. Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols. Supports physician to develop and maintain patients. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide high risk adjunctive prenatal care and consulting, coordinate diagnostic testing, and manage complex maternal and fetal conditions. Provides office coverage for physician(s) during periods of absence. Education & Experience Advanced Practice Registered Nurses Master’s Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
