If nursing facility admission is deemed appropriate, it must also be determined if other specialized services are indicated for support of the person. Providing technical guidance, oversight, and training to facilitate compliance with State and federal requirements. Reviewing and providing targeted instruction, learning opportunities and guidance around medically complex and/or challenging cases presented by PASRR Coordinators, OPWDD Regional Field Office staff, and/or other stakeholders and making determinations and/or referrals as needed. Working with the Bureau's Assistant Director of Nursing to develop a program for, and provision of, instructional and learning opportunities for voluntary agencies to meet a person's care needs in the community following hospitalization and skilled nursing facility stay.
