Responsibilities • Demonstrates the core nursing competencies established by the agency to ensure effective and efficient care on an ongoing basis.• Makes the initial evaluation visit and regularly reevaluates the patient’s nursing needs.• Initiates the plan of care and necessary revisions.• Provides those services requiring substantial specialized nursing skills.• Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.• Prepares clinical and progress notes for each patient visit and summaries of care conferenceson his/her patients in a timely manner as per Agency policy. Qualifications •Prior to date of hire, must hold a current, valid RN license or temporary RN license through the State Board of Nursing, or hold a compact RN license. The Silverton Medical Center Family Birth Center is located on the First floor of the Family Birth Center entrance. The Silverton Family Birth Center includes: - 2 triage rooms- 16 LDRP- 1 OR- 1 expanded care newborn nursery Responsibilities Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO. Your ability to assess, diagnose and treat Legacy Clinic patients will ensure that proper care and support are given. Throughout your work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll lend compassion and thoughtful insights in the treatment of patients. Responsibilities Works in collaboration with physicians to provide complete physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of both chronic and episodic disorders. Assigned principal responsibility for primary health care of patients under professional medical direction from physicians. Seeks the expert opinion or advice of a physician whenever the incumbent decides a case falls outside the scope authorized by policies and protocol. The APP plans and implements, and a physician reviews and confirms, health care goals for patients. The APP typically remains responsible for the patient throughout the course of the treatment, provides the physical examination, the diagnosis, and the health care plan, determines when the patient has recovered, and releases the patient. The APP may refer the patient to physicians for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment but retains responsibility for clinical management as well as any subsequent modification. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. Experience: Clinical experience requirements are dependent upon the specific position, and include a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field. Licensure Current applicable state RN license required. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Associate (PA) required.
