We perform over 600 open heart surgeries and over 1200 vascular surgeries per year. Over the last 10 years, Banner Heart Vascular interventions have increased by 30% performing fem-pop bypass, ELG, AAA, CEA, TCAR’s, and many of interventions for vascular needs. The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit is a 28-bed ICU , providing high level critical care to a large portion of cardiac and vascular patients as well as providing care for patients with implantation of Impella’s, IABP, SLED, CCRT, and EKOS catheters. We are a number one receiving center for patients needing hypothermia therapy post code. We have six cardiovascular surgeons, thirty interventional cardiologists, and nine vascular surgeons, specializing in hemodynamic monitoring and evidenced based care. They will play a major role in collaboration with the CRNA team and Internal Medicine department to decide if a patient is physically fit to undergo surgery and to decide if the patient’s laboratory markers deem them to be safe candidates for the administration of general anesthesia. Through the development of algorithms and checklists by the CRNA and surgical/Internal medicine team the NP of the Pre-OP clinic will follow these flowsheets to ensure safety of the surgical patient. This pre-op clearance process will allow EKG’s, labs, concerning physical disabilities, medication issues, and allergies to be pre-assessed prior to the day of surgery optimizing patient outcomes and preventing medical errors. The NP of Pre-op clinic will work along with the Chief CRNA to improve overall flow, function, safety and efficiency of the pre-operative and pre-anesthesia processes. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs the operational services of pre-op clinic along with the Chief CRNA, both advise the Chief of Surgical Services, Medical Officer and the Chief Executive Officer of TCRHCC on perioperative matters concerning the pre-anesthesia testing clinic. Participates with members of other departments, in planning joint administrative and technical programs; and making recommendations for maximum coordination of pre-operative services with other patient services. The Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide plays a critical role as a member of the Interdisciplinary Group Team. As a Sweet Dreams CNA You Will: (includes but not limited to) Spend quality one on one time with patients and their families to support everyday needs Care for hospice patients by providing paths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen as often as needed Provide bedtime care including personal hygiene regimens as required Provide aroma therapy and gentle touch Provide lotion rubs to hands and feet Perform personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the Case Manager immediately. Provide patient and family with positive communication techniques, within realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Coordinator/ Instructor to join our team. Job Summary: REQUIRED, RN license for this position. The Director of Education/Instructor will provide oversight for the CNA Training Program, ensuring compliance with Arizona State Board of Nursing regulations. This role involves supervising, evaluating, and instructing students to develop into mature and responsible Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The Director of Education/Instructor will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of the program. Responsibilities: Adhere to all statutes, rules, and regulations set forth by the Arizona State Board of Nursing for the nursing assistant training program. Maintain, promulgate, and adhere to all written policies and procedures consistent with the standards set forth by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Supervise and evaluate the nursing assistant training program, instructors, and healthcare professionals. Ensure instructors meet Arizona State Board of Nursing qualifications. Provide written policies to students on or before the first day of the program. Instruct assigned classes, guiding the learning process toward curriculum goals using current and relevant educational materials. Create a positive and nurturing class environment conducive to learning. Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports. Enforce a grading policy meeting or exceeding Arizona State Board of Nursing requirements. Ensure student health requirements are met. Supervise students providing client care, adhering to Arizona State Board of Nursing requirements. Create instructional resources and educational materials. Make equipment and supplies recommendations for the program. Take precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintain accurate records as required by law, administrative, and Arizona State Board of Nursing regulations. Submit documentation to the State Board, including records and reports. Evaluate and correct deficiencies in the program. Be available to students for education-related purposes outside regular instructional hours. Plan and supervise assignments and activities for teacher assistants, student teachers, or volunteers. Maintain and improve currency in the field and professional competence. Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required. Initiate the renewal of program approval and prepare and submit appropriate application materials. Make the program available for on-site unannounced evaluations by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county, and city statutes, rules, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of Arizona State Board of Nursing statutes, rules, and standards.
