Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Licensed as an LPN or RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing. Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred, but not required. Must hold an active CPR license or the ability to obtain within the first 30-days of employment. CPR license must be kept active and current throughout employment. Three years of nursing experience, of which one year in a long-term care environment. POSITION OVERVIEW The Resident Care Associate (RCA) is responsible for providing general non-certified routine services in accordance with the established procedures and may be directed by your supervisors. This role specifically supports our Assisted Living, AL Memory Care and Independent Living residents. Key Responsibilities Assists with housekeeping and laundry services including but not limited to, trash removal and making and changing unoccupied beds. Provides resident assistance with activities of daily living including but not limited to hygiene care, incontinence assistance, bathing & grooming. Assists with all aspects of meal service including but not limited to, transportation of residents to and from dining room, tray delivery, and ensuring great dining experience. Answer residents call lights promptly. Ensures that residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently. Assists clinical staff to make residents comfortable (i.e., check sitting position, hydration passing, etc.) Assists with personal care responsibilities according to state regulatory guidelines. Harding Float Pool staff supports 84 inpatient beds across 4 psychiatric units with varying adult populations with diagnoses ranging from schizoaffective/ schizophrenia to mood disorders to anxiety.
