Patient population consists of adult and geriatric medical and surgical cardiac patients. Common diagnosis: AMI, ACS, CHF (primary diagnosis), complex arrhythmias, chest pain with elevated troponins, stable post STEMI/NSTEMI, CAD, PVD, AVR, MVR, and pre and post - op CABG. Cardiac drips, chest tubes, pre & post pacemakers, stable post - op epicardial pacers, ICD, PCI, EPS, CTO, ablations, endarterectomy, thoracotomy, peripheral artery repair, and vascular surgery. For the past 5 years AH Pineville received the IBM Watson Top 50 CV Hospital. The award validates and highlights outstanding CV quality performance in heart failure, PCI, AMI, and CABG. This puts Pineville’s CV program in the top 2% of community-based CV programs in the country. We care for patients at 32 weeks gestation and above and support select antepartum patients requiring additional monitoring. The unit includes a 5-bed triage area, allowing for timely assessment and management in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Nurses are actively involved in all aspects of care, including triage, labor management, delivery, and recovery, working collaboratively to ensure safe and high-quality outcomes. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience and be comfortable working in a dynamic, patient-focused environment.
