Overview Our Psychiatric Care Unit is a 24 bed Inpatient and Designated Receiving Facility supporting our region. Our team approach is dynamic with a focus on empowering patients to take charge of their treatment and be able to move forward. With an average stay of 8 days, you will also have the opportunity to support and facilitate patient healing in a therapeutic environment. The successful candidate will be flexible and have a team-oriented approach to care. The day shifts will rotate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across all 7 days. Responsibilities The Clinical Nurse is an engaged and credentialed member of the Professional Nursing Organization and is responsible for autonomous practice directed by the professional tenets of practitioner, leader/decision maker, scientist and transferor. Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department, Part Time

Overview Our Emergency Department unit has 43 beds staffed by RN’s, LPN’s, Paramedics, EMT’s, and LNA’s. We are the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the state of NH and work closely with our system affiliates to accept patients requiring critical/neurological/cardiac/obstetrical/medical or trauma care. Our unit sees a large volume of referrals, transfers and trauma consults from outside facilities, and provides services for the local community. We see 31,000 patients annually to include neonates through geriatric populations in various states of health, often times with multiple diseases processes. Our nurses are trained for resuscitation, acute care, outpatient care, trauma care, mental health and are proceduralists delivering bedside moderate sedation. A typical day for a nurse would involve assisting in a fracture reduction for an adult skier injury, caring for a pediatric patient with uncontrolled asthma, managing a homeless victim found unresponsive in the snow in need of resuscitation, and caring for a cardiac arrest or stroke victim. Emergency Nursing is a specialized area of practice that is both independent and collaborative, requiring the continual acquisition and application of a specialized body of knowledge and skills. This demands a broad scope of practice to promptly deliver emergency, urgent, and non-urgent care to patients of all ages and from all cultural backgrounds. Emergency nursing care is episodic, primary, and typically acute, but may be chronic in nature requiring knowledge and skills to care for patients of all ages, acuities, and physical or psychological conditions. Overview Our Behavioral Health Emergency Department unit consists of a 6 beds supporting high risk mental health patients during a critical psychiatric event. As the primary nurse, you will work with our crisis team, the psychiatric and emergency physician/nursing team, care managers and security staff. Overview Perioperative 101 Program (August start date) Operating Room, Medical Center, Main Campus This position is for the Periop 101 program, a 9-month program for nurses combining Association of peri-Operative Registered Nurses (AORN) approved online didactic learning with clinical skills labs and experiences in the Operating Room. It is a Full-time, benefited position. The Main OR operates 26 operating room suites and is dedicated to providing care for adult and pediatric patients (Thoracic, General, GYN, urology, Plastics, ENT, Eyes, Orthopedics, Cardiac, Vascular, Neuro and Transplant), to include trauma. Typical schedule is 10 hour shifts to include call for Holidays (Note the first 9 weeks will be 8 hour days). The ultimate goal of the Operating Room is to provide the right care in the right place and the right time for our patients who seek our surgical services. The program begins with participation in selected Periop Orientation offerings, which are integrated with Perioperative Nursing content. Upon successful completion of the didactic portion of training, the nurse is paired with a mentor in the circulating role for a designated period of time. Following this, the nurse spends time in each of the surgical specialties offered at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center before choosing a surgical service in which to specialize their nursing practice. Registered Nurse (RN) - Birthing Pavilion, LDRP, Labor and Delivery

Overview Our Birthing Pavilion is a 21-room, 24-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. We average approximately 1300 deliveries each year. Approximately fifty-five percent of our patients are high-risk and are part of our Maternal Fetal Medicine service. We receive transports from all of New Hampshire, Southern Vermont, and occasionally Maine. We have a robust midwifery service along with a generalist physician service. We provide antepartum care, intrapartum care, postpartum care, normal newborn care, and focus care newborn care. We have a two-bed triage room in which we triage all of our own patients. Our unit includes two operating rooms (ORs) in which everyone is trained in perioperative care, i.e. circulating and scribing in the OR, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) services. We collaborate with many units in the organization including the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Cardiovascular Critical Care (CVCC), and the Main Operating Room to provide highly specialized care to our pregnant and postpartum patients. The Intensive Care Nursery (ICN or NICU) is next door to us and we have a very close relationship with their team. Schedule consists of 12hr shifts that rotate 7a-7p, 7p-7a across all 7 days. Responsibilities The Clinical Nurse is an engaged and credentialed member of the Professional Nursing Organization and is responsible for autonomous practice directed by the professional tenets of practitioner, leader/decision maker, scientist and transferor. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide evidence-based care and to continuously monitor and evaluate practice to ensure safe passage of patients that is in the best interest of populations served. Practitioner Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care. Required Licensure/Certifications - Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required upon hire- Fetal Heart Monitoring Intermediate (FHM) or Fetal Heart Monitoring Advanced (FHM-ADV) within 6 months of hire for experienced RN; new grad or internal transfer within one year of hire. Alternatively, Certification in Fetal Monitoring C-EFM accepted in place of FHM certification.- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Certificate required within 6 months of hire date.
