Collects and processes routine laboratory specimen. Operates and maintains clinical equipment. Maintains and uses aseptic technique including sterilization, disinfection and disposal of contaminated material. Cleans, wraps and autoclaves instruments. Cares for supplies and equipment. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required. Previous experience in office or outpatient ambulatory care setting strongly preferred. Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Overview The General Internal Medicine (GIM) Clinic provides preventative, acute and chronic care to all adults, 18 years and older. The GIM Clinic is a fast-paced clinic, with over 26,000 visits annually. Responsibilities The Clinical Manager - Hospice: Manages the operational, administrative, and personnel responsibilities in providing services in a 24/7 work environment by overseeing day-to-day operations. Contributes to the development of annual budget; monitor patient revenues, clinical, and operational expenses and staff productivity. Reports variance to Director and takes appropriate actions to meet or exceed budget targets. Monitors key performance indicators and creates an action plan to improve results. Oversees case management process; strategizes to improve efficiency and eliminates barriers that impact patient and family centered care. Optimizes use of resources to meet patient needs. Facilitates and monitor activities related to the delivery of patient care, assuring evidence-based practice and minimum clinical practice standards are achieved in the clinical area. Administers clinical care to patients, as needed, to maintain clinical skills, to assess particular patient requirements or as support to patient care staff. Oversees, facilitates, and monitors all aspects of the hospice personnel; including orientation of new staff, development and education of clinicians, and performance management Supports clinicians/patients in the field, as needed. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree preferred; each year of approved experience may be substituted for one year of education with RN Licensure or Masters of Social Work Certification in specialty preferred. Two (2) year of experience in a direct supervisory role required. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. Software skills: Electronic medical record, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in health care setting with working knowledge of medical terminology, electronic medical record and billing systems/software, home care experienced desirable. Overview Our Level 1 Emergency Department is expanding to meet the needs of our rural New England region’s acutely ill patients requiring technical specialized procedures available only at our facility. The DH Emergency Department is slated to open a new 4 bed landing zone in November 2024. We are recruiting nurses with Critical Care, step down or Emergency nursing experience to join our team for this exciting new unit as we expand our ability to care for the patients in our region. As an RN on this unit, you will be caring for critical patients in urgent need for specific procedures such as; cardiac catheterization, invasive neurological procedures, external ventricular drains, intercranial pressure monitoring or patients awaiting a surgical procedure pending OR suite availability. The successful candidate should possess ACLS & PALS certifications or have the dedication to obtain within 6 months of hire and be interested in working with a dynamic team dedicated to providing specialized patient care. The shifts will be rotating 7a-7p and 7p-7a. The unit requires flexibility and high level of engagement to create this new unit. The ED nursing leadership team will provide orientation and training to allow the landing zone nurses to cross train to the emergency department and/or job shares with other DH nursing units. The Clinical Nurse is an engaged and credentialed member of the Professional Nursing Organization and is responsible for autonomous practice directed by the professional tenets of practitioner, leader/decision maker, scientist and transferor.
