At our Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, women can have their annual mammograms, biopsies, and can meet with a nurse navigator if needed. The Women’s Center offers six newly remodeled labor and delivery suites and has a secure nursery for the care of our newborns. It serves an eight-county region in the Lakeway Area and is equipped with modern technologies and expert staff to provide the best possible patient care. We see approximately 44,500 patients annually who vary from locals to tourists from around the world. Our ED department is equipped with 30 ER beds as well as an 8-bed observation center and 2 triage rooms. The ER staff is made up of RNs, ER Techs, and HUCs that work together to provide excellent patient care. Position Summary: The LPN/LVN will provide nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse, within an assigned unit. Responsibilities Initiates admission database and history, and in collaboration with the RN implements patient and family teaching and care needs. Practices in compliance with all regulatory standards and adheres to all hospital policy and procedures in the performance of duties. Performs and prioritizes nursing care tasks. Accurately follows the nursing plan of care and pertinent medical orders in collaboration and under direction of a RN. Observes and reports nursing interventions and patient responses, and documents in a timely, concise and legible manner.
