JOB SUMMARY: Under general technical supervision of a licensed Therapist or Assistant, and the Administrative supervision of the clinical supervisor and Director or Therapy Services, the aide assists the Therapist with the administration of therapy to patients assigned to the department. The Aide can perform a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. HSD/GED preferred. 2. One year of patient care experience is preferred (i.e. nursing assistant, EKG/EEG, respiratory, etc). 3. Open wound experience is preferred. 4. Must be able to care for patients of all age groups. 5. BLS/CPR required or must be obtained within 30 days. Overview One year of clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN). If less than 1 year clinical experience as a RN, candidate must be approved by VP clinical.* Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work. Minimum six months home health experience. Current CPR certification. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance. Able to assess patient status and identify requirements relative to age specific needs. Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs. *Note - If less than 6 months clinical experience as a RN, candidate must participate in RN Intern program.
